Privacy Policy for Battery Boss
Last updated: July 9, 2026
Battery Boss ("the App") is developed by Void Cat LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App processes, where that data is stored, and when third parties may receive data.
1. What Battery Boss Collects and Processes
Battery Boss does not require account creation and does not run a first-party backend for user data. Most processing is done on-device and most Battery Boss feature data stays locally stored on your device.
- Battery and device telemetry: battery level, charging/discharging state, current, voltage, power, temperature, and related estimates.
- Battery history and health trends: historical battery readings, charge-session stats, and capacity/health trend entries.
- Optional app usage attribution data: app package names and foreground usage duration from Android usage stats, only if you grant usage access.
- App settings: preferences such as alerts, widget/overlay options, notification settings, and selected alarm sound settings.
- Advertising data: Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads may process advertising identifiers, device identifiers, approximate location, ad interaction information, app diagnostics, and other ad-service data as described below.
2. Permissions and Why They Are Used
Battery Boss requests permissions for specific features:
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: status notifications, full-charge alerts, low-battery alerts, and boot reminders.INTERNET,ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: advertising, network-aware app behavior, and online features where applicable.FOREGROUND_SERVICE,FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE: persistent live battery tracking service.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATSspecial access: optional per-app usage/battery attribution views.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: optional floating overlay while charging/discharging.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: optional restart/scheduling of tracking features after device reboot.
Not all permissions are required for all features. Optional features remain optional.
3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
Battery Boss uses limited third-party services:
- Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads: used to display advertisements, manage ad delivery, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, support security/compliance, and improve advertising functionality.
- Other ad networks enabled through Unity LevelPlay, if any: Unity LevelPlay is a mediation platform. If additional ad networks are activated through LevelPlay in a future app version, those providers may process information needed to deliver, measure, secure, and personalize ads where permitted, under their own privacy policies.
Battery Boss does not sell your personal data for money. The App does not upload your local battery history to a first-party server operated by Void Cat LLC.
4. Advertising
Current versions of Battery Boss display advertisements using Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads. Unity and any advertising partners active through LevelPlay may process information independently of Void Cat LLC.
Depending on the active advertising configuration, Unity may process information such as:
- Approximate location, usually derived from network information such as IP address.
- Advertising identifiers, device identifiers, and related technical identifiers.
- Ad views, taps, and other interactions that occur during an ad experience.
- App diagnostics and technical information used for app functionality, analytics, security, fraud prevention, and compliance.
- Purchase-history information if applicable to the advertising service.
- App usage time only if Unity's applicable optimization feature is enabled in the Unity dashboard.
Unity states that Unity Ads does not collect precise location, contacts, photos, videos, audio files, files/documents, calendar events, web browsing history, or installed-app data for the Unity Ads disclosure categories.
You can review Unity's privacy information here: Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy .
Earlier versions of Battery Boss included Google AdMob for advertising. Users should update to the latest version for the current privacy practices described in this policy.
5. Local Storage and Retention
The App stores operational data locally on your device, including preferences and historical battery records.
- Battery history: retained with rolling cleanup logic, approximately 14 days of detailed history.
- Charge sessions: retained up to approximately 1 year.
- Battery health entries: retained up to approximately 3 years.
Data remains on-device until removed by retention cleanup, app data clear, uninstall, or any available in-app deletion/reset controls. If Android device backup is enabled, Android or Google backup behavior may apply independently of Battery Boss.
For deletion instructions, including how to clear local Battery Boss data and submit a Unity privacy request, visit: Battery Boss Data Deletion & Privacy Requests .

7. Children's Privacy
Battery Boss is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through a first-party Battery Boss account system.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical measures within the App, but no storage or transmission method is guaranteed to be 100% secure. Local data is subject to your device's security settings. Third-party providers process data according to their own security practices and privacy policies.
